Executive portraits are perfect for high profile people in your organisation. Whether it’s C-Suite executives, key people in public facing roles or entrepreneurs building the next big thing, these people need to go beyond a standard headshot.
Similar to personal branding photos, executive portraits enable you to show not just what you look like, but also to reveal your personality. In addition, the images also align seamlessly with your business brand.
Whether you require portraits for your company’s website, promotional materials, press releases, annual reports, or investor presentations, I provide a personalised and collaborative service to ensure the final result fits perfectly with your professional goals and business strategy.
I use exceptional composition, beautiful lighting, and clear artistic direction to create visually striking portraits that evoke confidence, convey leadership and command attention.
Elevate your executive images and set yourself apart for the competition with Jesse Taylor Photography!
Portrait photos are crucial for leaders wanting to communicate with their audiences. Whether you’re trying to impress customers, suppliers, investors, staff, or other stakeholders, it’s vital to make a good first impression. Commercial portrait photography Sydney is your best choice.
We will work together to create the most stunning portrait photos that you can use in so many ways. But before that, here is a list of the different benefits you can get from portrait photography.
Many people feel that they are not photogenic, or don’t feel confident in front of the camera. Perhaps you’ve had a bad experience in the past, either feeling uncomfortable during a shoot or you didn’t like the photos. Working with the right photographer will solve this. A skilled photographer will help you feel at ease during the shoot and the resulting photos will make you feel great. It’s a low risk way to get used to being the focus of attention.
You know how you want people to perceive you. Strong, approachable, down to earth, confident, powerful, serious, playful, sincere, energetic, bold, creative….. Whatever adjectives you choose, well executed portrait photos have the power to project this image.
The organisation you lead will continue long after you leave. Your impact will be celebrated for many years ahead. Make sure you leave beautiful portrait photos to sit alongside the plaudits.
There are thousands of portrait photographers today. And each one of them has their own skills and photography style. That’s why I like to remind my clients and future customers to choose a portrait photographer that suits their personality the most.
Here are some things you need to consider when choosing a portrait photographer.
There’s no substitute for experience. Many photographers are skilled and knowledgable, but not everyone has the ability to deliver under pressure. An experienced photographer is better prepared, foresees and deals with issues before they arise, and takes any curveballs in their stride. But it’s not just any experience, it needs to be relevant experience. A brilliant family photographer with decades of experience shooting kids isn’t going to going to be the right choice to shoot the CEO of an industrial behemoth. Find a photographer with the right experience for you and your project.
Good photographers are busy people. So if you’re looking forward to having your picture taken at a particular time and place, you need to find a professional photographer who is available for that. And if you want to work with a specific photographer, it’s best to book as early as possible to make sure you lock them in.
Look for a photographer who fits your budget. As with any service, there are a range of suppliers in the market offering their services at different price point. The best photographers command the highest fees.
At Jesse Taylor Photography, I make sure to bring out the best in all of my clients, especially in their portrait photos. So, if you want to experience the best portrait photography services in the whole of Sydney, get in touch with me now.
I have other Photography services that include: Personal Branding Photography Sydney, Outdoor Photography Sydney, Industrial Photography Sydney.
I specialise in commercial portrait photography, meaning that I spend the much of my time working with talent. This might be in house talent, such as key staff, or it could be professional talent hired for the assignment. Either way, one of my skills is to get the very best out of that person.
I am able to build a relationship with someone quickly, to communicate what I need from them, and to get the very best out of them. I pride myself on being able to deliver outstanding results with the minimum amount of fuss.
I offer professional commercial and corporate photography services. The vast majority of my work is undertaken on location, usually at client premises or client sites. I can also access a range of studios and other commercial spaces where required.
I have developed relationships with a range of highly skilled and experienced professionals in related industries, including hair and make up artists (HMUAs), stylists, assistants, digi techs, and videographers.
I can make all the arrangements with these people, or am happy to pass on their details so you can contact them directly – just get in touch and I’ll connect you.

I hear you! We all have our hang ups, the things we don’t like about ourselves and hate seeing in photos. And the sad truth is, we’re all much too hard on ourselves. Other people see us differently, and always much more generously. Dove tapped into this a few years ago in a marketing campaign and while we might be sceptical about their true motive (selling more product!), it does powerfully highlight that we aren’t always kind to ourselves.
I see the best in you and bring this out in my work, giving you an executive portrait you’re proud to use.
Bring a few different outfits that have different cuts, styles and colours. Think about what kind of statement you want to make.
I can arrange a hair and make-up artist to be on site for the shoot. Please note that a full makeover takes 30-45 minutes per person at a minimum. Often a quick touch up service for both men and women is all that’s needed.
Even without a professional HMUA on the shoot, I know a few tricks to help you look great (think powder, blotting tissue, lint roller, hair spray, etc).
It’s up to you!
Some of my clients like to use the executive portraits as they are while others prefer a light touch up to help them look their very best.
A light touch up includes removing blemishes, fixing any skin shine, tidying flyaway hairs, smoothing away signs of tiredness, subtly whitening teeth and brightening eyes, and fixing any marks or creases in clothing. The aim is to make you look as you do on your best day, when you’re well rested, well hydrated, and relaxed.
And some clients like to go a bit further, for example changing clothing colour, slimming, making them look younger, or sometimes older!
Just about anything can be done, but it’s only done on your request.
It depends! I usually guide 10-15 minutes for a simple executive portrait, but that’s an average. Some people are super quick, others take a bit longer. I give everyone the time we need to create a great executive portrait that they’re proud to use.
If we are shooting multiple outfits or different backgrounds then of course it will take longer.
Quite simply, I focus on you. I don’t offer a cookie-cutter service, working to a formula that doesn’t account your individuality. You’re unique, so I create the best executive portrait for you. I work with you to find the right pose and the best expression that brings out your very best. I pride myself on giving you an executive portrait you can be proud of. I work really hard to do this as quickly as possible, knowing that many people don’t enjoy the experience.
You deserve to get a great profile photo with the minimum or fuss – that’s what I do.
I am based in Bellevue Hill but as an executive portrait photographer I do most of my work on location and bring my mobile studio to you.
No! As an executive portrait photographer I do most of my work at my clients’ locations. This means there’s no disruption to your working day, and your valuable time is spent where it matters most.
I shoot executive portraits across the Greater Sydney area and regularly travel further afield. I have clients across NSW, Australia and internationally.
For individuals and small teams shot at your location, executive portrait photography fees start at $600.
For larger teams, fees start at $1,200.

There’s no strict definition for either term, and they are often used interchangeably along with similar terms such as professional photos or business photos.
Broadly, a headshot is more about what someone looks like and is generally a tighter shot of the head and shoulders. It is often shot against a plain background and the subject is usually looking directly at the camera. On most social media and email platforms the photo is circular.
A portrait meanwhile might show more of a person, both literally and figuratively. Crucially, a portrait will often seek to communicate more than just what someone looks like and tell us more about who they are. The setting is often environmental, such as a place of work, and might tell us about their job or role.
Headshots are well suited to social media profiles, staff photos on client communications, internal comms, or staff directories. Portraits might be used to tell a more in depth story about specific individuals and are typically used in external communications such as annual reports, PR or marketing materials.
Once I know how the photos will be used we can discuss different options to deliver the images you need.
